IndieWeb is a people-powered alternative to the corporate web. Instead of relying on big platforms, you host your own site and connect it to a decentralized network of real humans. This very site is a test page for the IndieWeb client — proving that anyone can join with just a simple HTML page!

How this site joined the network:

  1. Added <meta name="human-web" content="paws-and-whiskers"> to the <head>
  2. Dropped in the IndieWeb client snippet before </body>
  3. Served the page locally with python -m http.server 8080
  4. Opened in a browser — auto-registered! Look for the floating badge ↘
